Have you noticed how the load times have gotten so very slow? More frequent time outs? Going from one page to another just takes forever?

We (as in Deviantart) are growing so fast, that the servers and the staff are really having a hard time keeping up.

Well, `Cosira came up with a great idea for helping out with this problem that I followed and I suggest you follow it as well.

Also, please check out =kkart's journal for a great entry talking about the lag time and such.


Everyone, take some time to go through your Notes (inbox and sent), your Galleries and your Scraps and please delete everything you really don't need. Think on it, imagine the help it would be for the site load if everyone took a minute and cleaned up things that just lay around unread (notes/messages/old journals) and unviewed (ancient things in scraps you have moved far beyond in your skills and abilities).

If you guys think this sounds reasonable, would you please write a journal about it too?
